Darjeeling is often referred to as "The Champagne of Teas" because of its fine quality and subtle "muscatel" wine like flavor. A particularly good afternoon tea, this tea is best served without milk or sugar.
Darjeeling tea leaves come from the highest gardens in the foothills of the Himalayas at heights of around 6,000-7,000 feet. The slow rate of growth and climatic conditions in this region produce smaller crops of excellent quality.
